Welcome students, parents and families to the 7th and 8th grade Social Studies webpages! This is a just a quick note to say hello, but also to share with you how to use this site.
First, please note the two tabs above for the individual classes. If you are looking for info specific to U.S. History, please click on that tab-- same with Geography. Each of those pages will give you the full directions for an assignment, or overview of the assignment with directions to get assignment specifics from Google Classroom. Infinite Campus will allow you to check in on you or your student's gradebook, assignments and the like. This is your resource for identifying whether or not your student has completed all the work assigned. While I appreciate that a variety of platforms can be annoying for students and parents to log into, they all offer different technologies, some overlapping, but none of which are all housed in one place. Students will be trained at school on how to use the various sites. Parents and guardians, there are options for you to have parent accounts with monitoring features or email updates. Those require you either get a class code from me or have me submit your email address to that program. However, please use your student as your first recourse to ask questions about what they are doing, learning, handing in or not handing in-- they can show you if their assignment is complete, submitted and graded! If you have a question about the work, please don't hesitate to email me, especially if your student is seeking to improve their work. Thanks for taking the time to acquaint yourself with these webpages and how to stay abreast of all the developments and progress in our classes. I look forward to working with and getting to know you all throughout the year!
