This involves understanding who the stakeholders are with regard to their project topic, and how those stakeholders impact the issue, or are impacted by the issue. Typically this is done through interviews; however, since that is difficult in this scenario, students will try to obtain first hand accounts through news articles, published interviews, video and audio clips. Wednesday, Mar. 13, B DAY: No Geography Class Thursday, Mar. 14, A DAY: Learning Activity: We are watching "Children of Syria," a Frontline documentary that captures voices from a family living in Aleppo during the conflict from 2013-2015, who then flee to Germany as refugees. This will help students looking for first hand accounts, as well as personalize the conflict. Students can add to their collaboratory while the documentary is playing. This week's agenda will revolve around developing school and classroom procedures, acclimating students to their new environs and peers, learning about lessons to come as well as the tools they will need to learn in order to be successful in our class.
